Dear Member,

I refer to my previous email and write to advise that the directions towards the place where the funeral ceremony will take place are as follows:

If you take the Midima road, on the one hand, proceed and turn at Chinakanaka to Msika wa Njala. From there, take the Mbiza road, which, for about 5 kilometers from said Msika wa Njala, takes you to the place. If you take the Tyolo road, on the other hand, you pass through Luchenza and proceed to Msika wa Njala. From there, again, take the Mbiza road, which, for about 5 kilometers from Msika wa Njala, takes you to the place.

Understanding Investment Law in Zambia

Format: Soft cover

Extent: 202 pages

About this publication:

Understanding Investment Law in Zambia deals with both the domestic law and international legal norms pertaining to foreign direct investment. These protections are considered through the prism of the Zambian investment climate, and give a glimpse into both historical and current issues.

Vulnerable Employees

(LegalEase - Essence series)

Edition: 1st

Published: 18 April 2017

Author: D Smit (Editor), D Viviers

ISBN: 978 1 48511 892 3

Format: Soft cover

Extent: 316 pages

Retail price: R475

(includes 14% VAT, excludes courier delivery. Valid until 30/06/2017.)

About this publication:

'Vulnerable workers' have not been adequately defined in South African jurisprudence, although they have been referred to in case law, and consequently the nature and scope of this concept remains unclear. There are also different categories of vulnerable workers in South Africa. This book introduces students and practitioners to the law and to the practical problems experienced by vulnerable South African workers: those suffering from depression or post-traumatic stress disorder, those who are discriminated against based on their weight or their appearance, those who have been bullied at work, or those who may have opted for gender reassignment. Marginalisation and other forms of prejudice against these workers are well known, but the manner in which we address these issues is not clear.

Dear Lewis,
Thank you so much for this notification.

May I congratulate you again for this monumental achievement.
Publishing a book is a daunting task and anyone who successfully
completes it confirms not only their intellectual aptitude but also
also incredible academic self-discipline. More importantly, though,
given the paucity of local textbooks on law, your contribution is
groundbreaking.

Regards.

Rep vs Picanco

Mr Picanco, a Brazilian national, was arrested for allegedly being
found in possession of 37 packets of cocaine. He was acquitted by the
SRM. Interestingly the court ordered that the drugs be returned to
him.
